Moving across the King Fahd Causeway looks simple on a map and is anything but in practice. It is a border crossing, which means your household goods need documentation, an itemised packing list, and a crew that knows what customs will and will not accept.
We handle the move as a cross-border shipment from the start, not as a long local move with a border in the middle. Our licence covers cargo as well as household moving, which is what allows us to run this route properly.

What the causeway crossing actually requires
- Itemised packing list. Every carton numbered and its contents listed, in the format customs expects. This is the single most common cause of delay.
- Your documentation. Passport and CPR, and your Saudi Iqama or entry documentation. We tell you exactly what to prepare before we pack.
- Restricted items. Some household items cannot cross, and some need declaration. We flag these during the survey so nothing is discovered at the border.
- Sealed loading. Vehicles loaded and sealed properly for inspection.
- Timing. The causeway congests heavily at weekends and around holidays. We schedule crossings to avoid the worst of it.

Before you move out of Bahrain
If you are leaving Bahrain permanently, close your EWA account and request your deposit refund, and give your landlord written notice. Both take longer than people expect. Start them the week you decide to move.
