A piano weighs several hundred kilos, holds its value in mechanical alignment, and cannot be tipped. A large artwork or an antique cabinet has no replacement value at all: once damaged, it is simply gone. We quote these as separate jobs.
Items we handle as specialist moves
- Pianos: upright and grand. Grands are partially dismantled, wrapped and moved on a dedicated board.
- Artwork and sculpture: custom timber crates built to size, not boxes.
- Antiques and heirloom furniture: hand-wrapped, blanket-padded and crated where needed.
- Chandeliers and light fittings: dismantled, individually wrapped, reinstalled.
- Safes and heavy equipment: assessed on site for weight, route and floor loading.
- Large-format TVs and screens: original carton if you have it, custom crate if not.
- Marble, granite and glass tops: moved upright in purpose-built frames, never flat.
- Aquariums, gym equipment and specialist appliances: planned individually.
Always surveyed, never phone-quoted
We look at the item, the route out, the doorways, the stairs and the destination before quoting. That is what stops the problem from happening, and no honest quote for a piano is possible without it.
