Ask five moving companies in Bahrain for a price and you will get five numbers, most without any explanation of what is included. Search the classifieds and you will find moves advertised for a few dinars. Neither tells you what your move will actually cost.

Starting prices depend on floor, lift access, distance and volume. You always get a clear written quote before the move.
The six things that change your price
- Volume. How much there is, not how many rooms.
- Lift or stairs. The biggest single variable. A fourth-floor walk-up can need double the crew and time.
- Street and parking access. A common issue in Adliya, Old Muharraq and parts of Manama.
- Distance. A move within Tubli is not the same job as Hamala to Riffa.
- Fragile and specialist items. Pianos, marble tops, artwork, large TVs, chandeliers.
- How much packing you want. Full pack, partial pack, or you pack and we lift.
Why the very cheap quote exists
You will find moves advertised on Dubizzle and similar sites for very low figures. Those are usually labour only: a van and two people, no packing materials, no insurance, no accountability if something is damaged. For a student moving a mattress and two bags, that may genuinely be the right choice.
For a furnished home, the arithmetic changes fast. One cracked TV, one scratched wardrobe or one broken mirror costs more than the entire difference.
How to compare quotes properly
Ask every company the same three questions:
- Is this fixed, or will it change on the day?
- What exactly is included?
- Are materials and insurance in this price or extra?
The company that answers all three clearly is usually the one whose invoice matches its quote.
